As of Friday at noon-ish, Linda and I are off to Colorado to see my brother, and play music with the guys in the first band I was ever in: my bro and Mark Spencer. Should be fun. Maybe the last fun I'll have for a while, since I think I'm going back to work at the water plant. Took a drug test and did fingerprints today. Back probably middle of next week.

Reign In Me (click to play)

Still working on this.

Reign In Me

Creator of heaven and earth
Reign in me
Almighty God, King of Kings
Reign in me
Jehovah, Ancient of Days
Reign in me
Holy God, Everlasting One
Reign in me

Great is Your kingdom
Eternal Father
Everlasting from age to age
My heart unworthy
To hold this treasure
The Spirit of the Lord
That reigns in me

Redeemer, Savior of the world
Reign in me
Lamb of God, Light of the World
Reign in me
Deliverer, Shepherd of my soul
Reign in me
JESUS, Mighty God
Reign in me

Love Is (Click to play)

Love Is the Way We Live

Love is, love is the way we live

Well you can’t do nothing better with yourself
Than to love, really love someone else
Love ain’t all magic, it ain’t all mystery
Love is kindness as well as chemistry

Love is, love is the way we live

Love is the reason that we live
Without it, we got nothing to give
Love shines down from on high
Comes from a perfect, everlasting supply

Love is, love is the way we live

Love is patient, love is kind
Don’t have to have its own way, don’t change its mind
Love forgives, when done a wrong
It holds together, grows ever strong

Love is, love is the way we live

This is a new recording of a song I wrote a while back. Sorry, but it's kind of pessimistic.

Batman or Righteous Knight?

My grandson had a dilemma this morning: whether to be Batman or a righteous knight. Both are conquerers of evil, Dudley Do-right types, you know - superheroes. He has costumes for both characters, but one was too high up in his closet for him to reach. Naturally, that's the one he decided to be.

I'm so glad that's his dilemma, and not where his next meal is coming from, or how to deal with the pain of a fatal disease, or whether anyone really loves him. I'm glad he didn't ask for a Charlie Manson costume.
